CONSERVATION is important for Kitsap PUD customers. Drinking water comes from groundwater stored in our aquifers. We depend on rainfall to recharge our aquifers. As our population grows, our water needs grow with it. More paved surfaces and rooftops cause water to run off into the Puget Sound before it can soak into the ground.
